The Problem:
Somerset House in Chevy Chase, Maryland is a 16 story residential high-rise that was experiencing pinhole leaks in its copper domestic water system. The condominium needed a cost-effective way to solve the problem of leaky pipes without the expense, construction times and destruction often associated with a traditional re-pipe.
The Solution:
Somerset chose ePIPE and its two-hour return to service lining product.
The problem domestic riser was relined without incident. Using the patented ePIPE process, the local ePIPE team was able to quickly fix the problem without severe disturbance to owners or damaging their units walls to get to pipes. This was important because these luxury condominiums were customized, and the owners did not want to disturb built-in cabinetry and bookshelves to access the problem riser. Over the course of the project, ePIPE technicians were able to restore the 8-story riser in a single day with no overnight water shutoff.
ePIPE is the only small-diameter pipelining company that offers an NSF certified 2-hour immediate return to service lining material suitable for drinking water. No other lining company comes close to same day “water on” service.
