12″ Diameter piping system recorded in DC capital region

ACE DURAFLO RESTORES 12″ DIAMETER PIPING SYSTEM

ACE DuraFlo’s ePIPE team recently completed the epoxy lining of a 12 inch diameter 125 foot long supply and return line at a 12 story condominium project located in the Nation’s Capital, Washington D.C.

The owners decided ACE DuraFlo provided the “right stuff” to solve problems associated with corrosion and sediment that was clogging the buildings chiller system.

The pipes traveled from the boiler room on the second floor up to the roof, a distance of about 125 feet.

The process involved cleaning the pipes using a rotational water jet blasting method. After the pipes were cleaned, the ACE DuraFlo ePIPE team performed the in-place epoxy lining of the piping system. The epoxy lining of the piping system utilized mechanical spray methods as an application procedure. Due to the riser set up and accessibility, the ACE DuraFlo ePIPE team engineered custom parts for the mechanical epoxy lining application so it could be deployed from the roof, over 12 floors up!
