What is a pipe liner?

As your house ages, so do your pipes. Many things can happen over the years that can damage your overall piping system, including corrosion cracks, and pinholes. In some cases, there might even be some tree root intrusion.   A pipe liner is an interior lining that is applied to the inside of the existing pipe.    One of the most effective and cost-effective types of pipe liners is an epoxy coating. You could do a traditional pipe replacement, but it may mean holes in your walls, extensive damage to your lawn, cutting up driveways, and perhaps even ripping up your flooring. All this just means more money is taken out of your pocket. How do I know if I need to coat my pipes?

The pipe liner process

2. Step 2: The water is then drained from the potable plumbing lines, dried with heated air, and cleared to remove any build-up and corrosion. 

3. Step 3: Once the prep work is complete, our installers determine the length of the epoxy coating that is needed, and then it is blown into the host pipe place using pressurized air. 

4. Step 4: Once fully cured (it should only take a couple of hours), we’ll conduct a final pressure test to ensure the piping system is fully coated. Once verified, your plumbing pipes are turned back on and ready for safe use!
