ePIPE Receives 5th U.S. Patent for Enhanced Pipe Cleaning and Lining Technology

Pipe Restoration Technologies, LLC (PRT), developer of the ePIPE® in-place pipe restoration system, announced that it has been awarded U.S. Patent #8206783 by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The patent focuses on methods that improve the cleaning and lining of smaller diameter pipes. Specifically, it provides coverage for ePIPE’s system designed to enhance the evacuation of dust and debris during the pipe cleaning process. By removing more dust and debris before lining, the process helps create a cleaner pipe surface and supports more consistent application of the protective pipe lining.

Improved dust and debris removal can also assist with better adhesion of the lining to the interior pipe wall. This is important for small diameter pipe restoration because proper surface preparation is a key part of creating a durable, effective in-place lining.

The patent applies to pipes used in several important systems, including:
